Notes:

  • This lace crochet stitch is in a multiple of 6+2 chains
  • This lace crochet stitch is a 4 rows repeat (row 3-6)

What does “multiple of 16 + 2 chains” mean?

This simply means your foundation chain needs to be built in groups of 6 stitches.

For example, you can start with:

  • 6 + 2 chains
  • 12 + 2 chains
  • 18 + 2 chains
  • 24 + 2 chains

Continue adding groups of 6 chains until you reach the width you want.

Then add 2 extra chains at the end to complete the foundation chain.

These extra 2 chains help the stitch pattern line up correctly when you start the first row.
