Looking for a cozy bulky crochet sweater pattern that’s simple and beginner friendly? This easy crochet pullover sweater is made using bulky weight yarn and simple stitches, making it a quick and approachable crochet wearable project.
This crochet sweater pattern is worked in two simple panels from the top down, so the construction is easy to follow and perfect for confident beginners. The chunky texture gives the sweater a warm and cozy feel while still keeping the design modern and wearable.
I love how customizable this sweater is. The pattern is designed slightly cropped, but you can easily add extra rows if you’d like a longer sweater or even a sweater dress style.
The pattern shown is made in a US women’s size small.
If you’d like the printable PDF version with sizes XS–XL, you can find it in my Etsy shop here.

Sew the sweater together
Take the front and back panel, lay your sweater correct side facing each other and start sewing on the wrong side from the bottom side of the sweater and all the way up to the arm pit and continue sewing the bottom of the sleeve with the tails that you left earlier, using method of choice. I like to use my yarn needle for sewing.
Sew the top sleeve
I sew my top sleeve 47 stitches on each side and leave 26 stitches open for the neck area, if you want your neck hole bigger or smaller you need to sew less or more then 47 stitches on each side but make sure that both sides are even.

I have no way of paying for this pattern, and I need to make a size 2X for my daughter. May I get the proportions, please?

Hi Christine, it wouldn't do you much good with just the proportions. This is one of my earlier patterns, which I didn't give all the sizes for free then. I started making them all free a couple years ago, so if you look through all my patterns since then, they have the sizes up to XXL for free. I hope that helps.
