Hello everyone, welcome back and if you’re new here, welcome! I put in some serious work on last weeks Crochet Sweater Vest, so this week I think we can all agree on making something simple. This crochet basket bag is gonna be a stellar project for gifting for the holiday season. It’s been a while since I made a crochet bag tutorial!

This crochet basket bag tutorial won’t require too much yarn and it works up quick, so there’s still time to make a couple before Xmas. It’s made with #6 super bulky so you know it works up pretty fast. I also used a 6mm hook.
This crochet basket bag tutorial is very beginner friendly as well. The last few projects have been slightly more advanced than beginner so I wanted to get something more simple up for people to make this time of year and be able to gift something really useful other than granny square coasters.

I absolutely love making clothes, but after that I love useful things and crochet bags are where I got started and I don’t think I show enough of them. I’m curious to know what everyone else thinks. Would you all like to see more crochet bag tutorials? If I showed some of the more elaborate handbag designs and tutorials, would people be interested in making them?
Let me know in the comments!

Anyways, this crochet basket bag is big enough to carry your yarn and crochet/knitting accessories but it would also serve well as a day bag, purse, tote , beach or even small grocery bag. I’m sure you all will come up with a lot of ideas I didn’t even think of, so let’s hear them!
