Hi everyone. I’m exhausted from this easy crochet sweater! Not because it was difficult, it’s actually pretty easy. I ran out of yarn! You know the code red situation I’m talking about.
I was 2 balls short of this Lion Brand Jeans Vaqueros. I had no more in my stash. It was go time. Off to the yarn store(s)! 🤣
My poor husband, who looks out of place enough as it is at Joann fabrics, is such a trooper when it comes to situations like this. After driving to three different places, and him sitting on the phone in the parking lot for 45 mins, we realized it wasn’t going to happen.

But alas! I had another finished project from the same yarn stash before, so I frogged my self up a couple balls of yarn and this easy crochet sweater pattern project was saved, just barely.
Like I said, it’s an easy crochet sweater pattern. I hesitate to call it beginner because there are levels to being a beginner and it’s right at the edge of beginner/easy.

I made this easy crochet sweater pattern using the crochet bead stitch, which if you follow the link you will find a stitch tutorial on that as well. It’s good to go back and refresh your stitch knowledge.
You can find more stitch tutorials here as well. If you’re looking for more free crochet sweater patterns, you’re about to hit the mother load😉 . I’ve got a few you might like below.

JOINING THE PIECES TOGETHER
Sew the back and front panels together
Take the back and front panels, place them with the correct side facing down, we’ll sew in the wrong side. Using the tail that we left earlier, sew along the top of the shoulder area together using method of choice. ( Check picture below )
Sew the sleeves to the main panel
With your main panel correct side facing down. Place your sleeves correct side facing down and start sewing on the wrong side with your tail again. The shoulder seam of the main panel should be in the middle of the sleeves panel and even on both sides. ( Check picture below )

Sew the sweater together
Fold your sweater in half at the shoulder seam with the correct sides facing each other. Cut a new strand of yarn 70-80″ long, enough to sew the side and the sleeve. Start sewing from the bottom up to the side seam until you reach the armpit and continue sewing the sleeve side seam until you reach the end of the sleeve and then weave all the ends ( Check picture below )

Yay! You did it, congratulations on finishing this easy crochet sweater pattern.
I hope you like the bead stitch design, It’s one of my favorite stitches to design with at the moment.
