Crochet Twisted Headband Pattern

Keeping with the theme of late, we’re making another one skein, beginner friendly, crochet gift idea friendly pattern. This crochet twisted headband couldn’t fit the bill more. It’s a great scrap yarn project as well.

I’ve made these type of boho, twisted or braided headband projects before, but while they’re really simple scrap yarn projects, they aren’t always super interesting to look at or wear.

I tried to give this one a little more flair and body by using a criss-cross stitch. It definitely gives it a more interesting look.

this crochet twisted headband is a great scrap yarn project

I designed this crochet twisted head band to be a little wider than most of my earlier designs. I just think it looks better, offers more actual warmth for your ears and gives you more options for how you can wear it. I actually like wearing this headband turned backwards.

Like I said, as far as crochet gift ideas go, this crochet twisted head band is another one of those no brainers.

It’s easy to make. I made one up in an hour. It’s a simple two row repeat.

It’s a one skein project, which means it’s a perfect scrap yarn project. I actually had some whole skeins of this Berroco Remix that I used. I had some left over from the one skein for the headband. It’s one of my favorite yarns, and I wanted to design some one skein projects from it for making gifts.

But that doesn’t mean you have to. If you have a scrap yarn stash, just add a little time and love and you’ve got an amazing handmade gift to give to someone special.

I’m also making an accompanying crochet cowl to go along with this crochet twisted headband pattern. They’ll make a really cute set. That will be a 2 skein project (the set), if you’re interested.

You can certainly make some cardigans as crochet gift ideas, but I’m giving you the easy ones first.
