Crochet Sun Hat Pattern-for summer fun!

A free pattern for a gorgeous, durable and packable summer crochet sun hat.

That’s a mouthful, but there’s just a lot to say about this raffia crochet summer hat pattern.

I’ve made a lot of winter crochet hats, buy every since the first time I saw this raffia yarn, I’ve wanted to make a crochet sun hat pattern from it.

Summer crochet hat patterns are kind of few and far between, but I’m hoping this crochet sun hat pattern helps to change that.

This pattern is in US women’s sizes S/M/L and should have most people covered. I think size M will work well for most.

I used Raffia yarn from @perfect_yarns on Etsy as that is my go to place for things like Raffia yarn. I really love this stuff, although because of how durable it is, it can be tough to work with. Fortunately, it works best on smaller projects like handbags and now, SUNHATS 🤩

I recommend you take your time with Raffia and take more breaks than you normally would.

If you’re looking for something to go with your crochet hat, I have a lot of ideas in mind, but I’ll share a few below.

1 Crochet Lacy Sweater Top / 2 Crochet Lightweight Cardigan / 3 Crochet Raffia Purse
