Crochet headband (Free written pattern and video tutorial)

This crochet headband pattern is a nice and easy winter project. Beginner friendly, and it works up quick.

Materials

Stitches use & code

  • ch = chain
  • st = stitch(es)
  • hdc = half double crochet
  • rep = repeat
  • rs = right side
  • ws = wrong side

Gauge unblocked : 6 hdc x 4 rows = 2″

Size & Measurements : Size M ( Fit most women ) = 17″ circumference stretches out to 21″ wide x 5″ tall

Headband Pattern

Row 1 ( ws ) : ch 52, 1 hdc into second ch from hook and each ct st across. Total of 51 st

Row 2 ( rs ) : Turn, ch 1 ( do not count as a st ), 1 hdc into first front loop and each front loop across. Total of 51 st

Row 3 – 8 rep row 2

*The end of row 8 cut the yarn and leave 10″ tail and use that tail to sew the headband together. Sewing into the wrong side, sew each row from both sides together using any method you like (I used a yarn needle)
