Easy Crochet Top Patterns for Beginners
We’ve gotta hurry here in the Northern Hemisphere, but we have a little time left to enjoy some sunshine on our shoulders in our little crochet halter top pattern.
This free crochet halter top pattern is basically me clinging to my last days in shorts here in Minnesota, but the good news is you get to share in the summer top glory with me as well.

I have a little secret though. We can still wear this easy crochet top in the FALL with a light jacket over the top and it looks amazing! Yes! So you get to extend your extra cuteness into the winter. I of course included all the free US women’s sizes from XS up to XXL in this easy to make, beginner friendly crochet halter top pattern.
I used Red Heart Amore #4 Medium weight yarn for this one, but you can use any #4 medium weight yarn you like. I recommend you always check your gauge before you start to make sure it matches.

If you want an ad free PDF version of this pattern with the full photo tutorial, you can find it on all my channels below.
If you’re ready to embrace the winter time and get ahead of the cold, here’s some other projects you might like. Some are older and may not have all the sizes for free, just FYI, but there are a couple classics. If all the sizes aren’t available for free, they’re available for purchase, as well as some free options to adjust the sizes on your own.

Anyways, onto the crochet halter top pattern…

Joining the pieces together
Sew the shoulder seams together
Place your panels right side facing down. We’ll sew on the wrong side, using the tails that we left earlier. Use which ever method you prefer to sew ( Both sides are sewn the same ). Check picture below

Sew the side seams together
Fold your halter top in half at the shoulder seam with the right side facing each other and we will sew on the wrong side. Cut a new strand of yarn 14-16 inches long. Start sewing from the bottom up about 16 rows or about 4.5″ to the armpit for all the sizes, I recommend trying it on at this point to make sure you’re happy with the fit then weave all the ends( Both sides are sewn the same ). Check picture below
