Knitting a headband

The FREE cable knitted headband pattern

If winter’s approaching and you haven’t had a chance to make yourself some new winter head gear, or you just want to try knitting a headband, here’s a FREE  quick and easy headband pattern to get you going.

The cable knitted headband pattern is a super simple and beginner knitting project. It’s a fun project to get you started in knitting.

It’s also a fantastic project for holiday gifts as it makes up quickly enough to be done before black Friday deals take over your free time. I used a skein of 6 super bulky Wool-Ease by Lion Brand.  I’ve included three size options that should have all your bases covered.

Just knitted the vest top. I did it yay 😀 but I think I need to practice sewing up 🤔 It came out ok considering I’ve never knitted before. It will be alright if I stand at a distance from people but all in all I did it and I will get better in time. Thank you x

With that attitude you're going to be a very skilled knitter, don't worry 😉 It's very impressive to just finish a garment, especially your first, most people don't. Give yourself the credit you deserve and wear it with pride. I was too scared to try knitting for years lol. Keep up the great work and thank you for all the love and support.

Thank you so much Colleen! I know, I always feel a little guilty for not giving more time to knitting patterns lol. I have made a few more recently but I always end up right back to crochet. Glad to hear you enjoyed the pattern, I appreciate your support. I'll definitely try to get more knitting projects up. Take care, all the best!

Hi Judy! So happy to hear that. I'm not quite as confident in my knitting as I am my crochet, so it's nice to get good feedback. I'm currently working on some knitting projects, so you're comment was right on time for me. Thanks!
